I was tasked in coming up with a design for a platform for mindfulness training and meditation. From user research, user flows, paper wireframes, design and prototypes in Figma and handoff to developers.

Awaris is a company that combines expertise in mindfulness with the fields of leadership development, management and neuroscience.
Structuring all the courses and supporting content in an accessible layout that works across different devices.
Combining the meditation space with the courses and supporting content in an easy to use way.
I analyzed the data in their Google Analytics, created different questionnaires and sent them to the five groups of ten users to determine their struggles, motivations and goals to understand the ideal user type for this app.
From the available data and the research I did, we were able to conclude that the existing users were mostly males, from Germany and Austria in their 30’s so we created a user persona to follow during this project.
Based on the research and goals, user flow consists of two paths, one for the timer and one for the courses.
I created some quick sketches, exploring the possible layout combinations based on the brief, goals and the existing content to understand which design directions might work.
After the paper and wireframing in Figma was done and selecting which design layouts might work, I moved on to UI design using the brand colors, typography and layout exploration I did during the wireframing process.
Mobile first approach was used to design every screen. These sizes were then adjusted to work on all devices from tablets to laptops and large desktop devices.
Style guide and a design system was created and the handoff was done via Zeplin.
Component creation, optimization and shipping went really well. Documentation for developers was easily understood and handover process was smooth.
Initial idea was to build separate iOS and Android experiences, so the shipping didn't go as planned. When we switched to React Native, it went well.
Component export could improve further using Cursor AI+ existing plugins to reduce junk code and reduce shipping new platform features even further.
